Red Mountain of Surigao

During our breakfast, we had the conversation with a Surigao local. She mentioned that on our way to Club Tara, we'll be passing to the Red Town. Everything in this town is color red... the houses, the road, the trucks, and the land. She also mentioned about the mining. The rocks and the soil are transported to Japan.

And as we passed by to the Red town, we saw the red trucks, the red ships in the shore, and yes... everything's red. The mining companies obviously destroying the nature. But the goverment has nothing to do with it  and they even allowed the mining operation to continue.  Seems that it is okay for their goverment, but not for the NPA (New People's Army). The NPA attacked those mining companies.  Here are some of the photos I've took while inside the van and while on the boat:
